KITSAP OB-GYN
Our first step was to develop a marketing strategy with the practitioners. We needed to understand their patients' pressure points so that we could deliver a website that speaks to their needs. Patients revealed they wanted a more intimate and personal approach versus the big-hospital take-a-number approach. They wanted to be able to afford their medical services and they really wanted doctors who really cared about them.
The Home page image communicates that Kitsap has been delivering quality women's care for over 40 years and the image is of one of the doctors explaining a medical process to a young woman. The next section shows a mom at a local beach with her daughter splashing their feet in the water (Kitsap is in Silverdale on the Kitsap Peninsula in Western Washington) and the copy discusses the distinctives of Kitsap OB-GYN: "We have seven different providers working cooperatively to improve women's health in our community. We are an independent specialty practice. We do not charge any facility fees, and we have bilingual employees."
The story goes on from their engaging the user to see themselves becoming a part of the Kitsap story, placing themselves and their baby's care in the hands of these caring doctors. The site uses calming blue tones that reflect the watery community in which the user lives. Images are of women enjoying life in the Northwest. Compared to the sterile websites of its competition, the Kitsap website is a total feel-good site and much needed by women who are often scared of pregnancy and what's to come.
