Project Overview

The CEO of Sage contacted Distillery Creative to rebrand his 25-year old company and design a new website for him. He reached out to us because we had just earned the title of "Best Web Designers" of Denton County, and he wanted the best. Well, we aim to please.

The roofing business in Dallas and Fort Worth counties is cutthroat and highly competitive. Serious hailstorms blow through the area every year damaging roofs all over the counties. After a storm blows through, among all of the litter of damaged roofs and landscaping, are literally 30+ business cards of roofing companies on a home owner's doorstep. The problem for a reputable roofing company is standing out among these companies and showing themselves to be local and reputable, and not some out-of-state company scavenging for your business.

The Solution

We started with developing a brand that was more fun than many of the macho logos among the competition. We wanted to position Sage as a fun, friendly, neighborhood company that you can trust. Marketing studies revealed that the woman of the house was typically the decision-maker of new roof purchases, so we wanted this logo to appeal to her. We developed an almost cute and memorable logo on an electric cutting wheel. We then developed the corporate color palette with a neon green against black so that it would stand out from afar on all signage and company trucks.

When designing the website, we developed content that showed happy families, safe in their homes. We listed reasons why a homeowner can trust Sage, and we developed video testimonials of satisfied customers. The site includes an extensive library of blog articles instructing homeowners in what to look for in a roofing contractor and ways to prepare for storms.
